How Next Step Coaching & Counseling Services handles the information you share with us.
Effective date: June 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Next Step Coaching & Counseling Services, LLC (“Next Step,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit next-stepcoach.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it. Please read it together with the notice below about health information.
Health information notice
This policy covers information collected through our website. It does not cover protected health information (PHI) that we handle as a healthcare provider. Our use and disclosure of PHI is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and by applicable law, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Please do not submit diagnoses, treatment details, or other sensitive clinical information through the website contact form. The contact form is not a secure or encrypted channel. If we need client information to process a referral or begin services, we will provide a secure method to collect it.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to give us. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, the inquiry type you select, the service you’re interested in, and the contents of your message. We ask that you not include sensitive clinical information in the form.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect standard technical information through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies. This may include your device and browser type, your approximate location, the pages and links you interact with, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive clinical information through the Site.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not work as intended if you do.
Third-party services
We rely on the following categories of third-party services, which may receive limited information as part of operating the Site:
- Website hosting — our Site is hosted by GoDaddy, which processes server requests and may log technical data such as IP addresses for security and operational purposes.
- Web fonts — our Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When fonts are served, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Google’s handling of that information is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
- Email — messages you send through our contact form are delivered to us by email.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How we share information
We may share information:
- with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and email delivery, under obligations to protect it and use it only for those functions;
- when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or in response to a lawful governmental request;
- to protect the rights, safety, or property of Next Step, our clients, our staff, or others; and
- in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We retain information collected through the Site only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
